Nov. 30, 2022 — Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School – Joe Johnson – started her on a path to Wichita State University as the first person in her family to attend college. The project — ECO-CBET: Convergent Electrolysis-Electrodialysis System (CEES) to Curb Urban Chloride Pollution by Eco-friendly Road Deicing and Waste Salt Upcycling — was recently awarded $1.4 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
